What is Lutheran Church

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland has about 3.5 million members. Most people in Finland belong to this church. Each person belongs to a parish in their own hometown.

We want to be a church for everyone – no matter where you come from or what your background is. You are welcome to join our activities.

Our church includes many kinds of people: women and men, young and old, people born in Finland and people who have moved here.

Your skills and your life experience are important. We hope you get to know our church – and we also want to get to know you!

The parish elections will be held in November 2026. Election Day is November 15, 2026, and early voting will take place from November 3 to 7, 2026
